This international research initiative examines differences in ingredient composition, labeling practices, regulatory compliance, and consumer transparency across multiple jurisdictions. The project combines survey data, comparative policy analysis, legal research, and economic evaluation to understand how multinational corporations adapt products and marketing practices across markets.
Conducted by her.economy's core research team alongside seven international research interns, the study incorporates data from over 200 respondents across five countries. The project seeks to provide readers, policymakers, and researchers with a deeper understanding of the structural, regulatory, and economic factors that influence consumer treatment within global food markets.
Long-Term Goal
Following completion of the research paper, her.economy intends to work with legal experts, policy professionals, and relevant stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable policy recommendations aimed at strengthening consumer transparency, informed choice, and consumer protection frameworks in India.
